McGuffy Club Buttons Are Put On Sale Here

My Good Friend Lindsey:

Please announce in your good paper that the Southern Indiana McGuffey Club is selling McGuffey buttons at 25 cents each in hope of raising a fund for a bronze tablet to be put up at the log school house in the Lincoln Pioneer Village, Rockport, in commemoration of the organization on that historic spot, July 4, 1935, of the club. Buttons may be obtained at Basye drug store, Rockport, or from Dr. Claude Lomax, vice president of Southern Indiana McGuffey Club, Dale, Ind.

There has already been a brisk demand for the buttons, and if the necessary fund is raised there'll be another conclave of McGuffeyites in Rockport for the dedication of the tablet. It will be made by your own celebrated sculptor, George Honig. Anything you care to say by way of boosting the cause will be O. K. and greatly appreciated by the club and especially by your good friend,

JRoy Strickland
