WPA Project For Lake Is Approved

CITY PARK TO BE IMPROVED AS COMPLEMENT TO PIONEER VILLAGE

One WPA project, we are told, has been approved for the lake and playground in the City Park.

George Honig, who has put this project over almost single-handed is the most enthusiastic man in town because he sees one of his cherished dreams becoming a reality.

Mr. Honig say $20,000 has been allocated for the project and that work will begin Monday when fifty men will be put to work and that in another week fifty more will be added. He advises that those who will be selected for the work must be supplied with shovels and in some instances with wheelbarrows.

One hundred men at work in Rockport will help everyone else and while the job lasts all will feel the good effects.
